China The last thing China needs is trouble in Tibet so from the Tibetans’ point of view the timing couldn’t be better with the world watching in the countdown to the Olympic Games in China. I always wonder how Chinese people amongst themselves would justify China’s occupation of Tibet and the subsequent oppression of the Tibetan culture and Buddist religion. Whenever I speak to Chinese people I am always impressed with how friendly and pleasant they seem. Yet that regime there is something I wouldn’t like to be supporting in any way. But then I was never that keen on communist dictatorships.
